1. Acceptance

By accessing or using CarMind (the website, progressive web app, or related pages at car-mind.com), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use CarMind.

2. What CarMind Is

CarMind is a free personal vehicle manager. You can track odometer readings, service intervals, fluids, reminders, and related notes. Most data stays in your browser’s local storage on your device. No account is required today.

CarMind Pro (unlimited vehicles, online AI assistance, ad-free use, PDF export, and similar perks) is coming soon. Subscriptions and payments are not available yet, and you will not be charged while paid features are unavailable.

3. Your Responsibilities

Use CarMind only for lawful, personal vehicle-management purposes.
Provide accurate information you choose to enter; CarMind does not verify your data against your vehicle’s manufacturer records.
Keep backups of important data using CarMind’s export/backup features where available.
Do not attempt to abuse, overload, or bypass rate limits on any CarMind API proxies (for example map or AI endpoints), or to access them outside the app.
Do not reverse engineer or redistribute CarMind in a way that violates applicable law or these terms.

4. Not Professional Advice

CarMind provides general reminders and information only. It is not a substitute for a qualified mechanic, dealer, insurance advice, or your vehicle’s owner’s manual. Always follow manufacturer guidance and local laws for safety-critical decisions (brakes, tires, recalls, towing, etc.).

5. Local Data & Availability

Vehicle and document data you enter is stored locally on your device unless a feature expressly says otherwise. Clearing site data, switching browsers/devices, or uninstalling the PWA can erase that data. CarMind is provided “as is” and may be interrupted for maintenance, outages, or changes.

6. AI Features

Free-tier AI answers are generated on-device from CarMind’s built-in knowledge base. An online assistant (planned for CarMind Pro, powered by a third-party provider such as xAI) is coming soon and is not guaranteed to be available. AI output can be wrong or incomplete — verify anything important.

7. Advertising

The free tier may show third-party ads (for example Google AdSense). Ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy. An ad-free option is planned for CarMind Pro.

8. Future Paid Features

If and when paid features launch, pricing, billing, and cancellation details will be shown before you buy. Until then, nothing can be purchased in CarMind, and we do not process card payments. Any future payments would be handled by a payment processor such as Stripe under their terms.

9. Intellectual Property

CarMind’s name, branding, UI, and original content belong to the CarMind operator. You retain ownership of the vehicle data you enter. You grant us only the limited right needed to operate features you choose to use (for example, sending a question to an AI provider if you use an online assistant after it launches).

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

CarMind is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of intervals or specs, or uninterrupted availability. Use is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CarMind and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or vehicle damage arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for CarMind in the prior 12 months (currently $0 while paid features are unavailable) or (b) CAD $50.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes may also be noted on the landing page when practical.
